Teacher Resources

The National Trust has been working with the Education Department to ensure that our resources are cited in the New National Curriculum and made available to the educators of the Cayman Islands.
 
Our staff can offer information, presentations and field trips. Feel free to contact the National Trust at 749-1121 and remember, the Trust is here for you!

Field Trips

We offer a number of field trips to supplements your work in the classroom:
 
  • Mangrove Field Trip - a guided tour touching on Red, White and Black mangroves
  • Guided Walking Tour of George Town & West Bay - taking in all the points of historical interest
  • Mastic Trail Hikes
  • Close Encounters of the Natural Kind (Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park)
  • What is there to Sea in the Grass? - discover the wonderful world of seagrasses with a presentation at the National Trust house followed by a snorkel across or walk along a seagrass meadow. The children will then return to the Trust house to look at some seagrass treasures under our digital microscope.
  • Creepy Crawly Flighty Friends - discover and collect insects from the Park at the Trust Office and take a peak at butterfly specimens from the Trust's Insectarium. Get a closer look at this wonderful world of insects with our digital microscope.
